Default ? for manifold builders

say you design a manifold for production, do you try to use pre designated bends?
like 90, 45, 22, 11 etc so you can easily reproduce the manifold without having to get wierd bends. i ask cause im messing around designing stuff in solidworks and it seems easier to get a u bend to spec and make a few diff files for diff angles with the same CLR of the u bend im going to buy. that way when the time comes to build the manifolds in real life i can just buy a bunch of u bends and make a bunchof pieces (90, 45, 22, 11) and then use my design i made in solidworks and i could easily replicate it over and over with the pieces i had, i guess the hardest part would be joining them at the right angles.

what materials do you plan on using? if sch40 you can just get 90's and that is what is used mostly. That and straight pieces that are cut

you pretty much answered your own question. do what you have to...
buy pre-bent pieces, or make your own, it depends on what YOU want to do.

i was going to buiild the manifold off of just 1 spec u bend (if possible, will use diff u bends with diff radius if nessisary) and straights. but the question is in production manifolds, like ones your going to re produce. do you use strictly pre designated cuts. like 45 22 etc. that way the unit is easy to reproduce, instead of just make a custom setup and build it as you go along and have random 5 degree bend here 17 degree there.
do you understand what im asking?

i was going to get burns 304 SS u bend part UB-200-30-16-304
in in solid works all my bends are based off that part. that way the radius of all my pieces are all going to match if i took that burns UB-200-30-16-304and cut a 45 or 22 degree out of it. i was thinking youd only need so many diff angles to build a good manifold setup. i almost built a ramhorn in solidworks with just straights, and a 45 and 22 degrees, but its not 100% complete i still have 2 more runners so i dont know if i could finish those without using another cut.

the outer runners enter the merge collector on the engine side of the collector...not the outer side. That will solve your problem.

actually, that looks pretty nice as well. I can see that working pretty good if you space out the runners a little farther from teh head
