ok i left town for 4 days when i came back my prelude wouldnt start i put a new battery but it still didnt want to start i think its either the altenator or starter what do you people think

An alternator has nothing to do with starting an engine. It's main job is to charge the battery.

Your post is too vague to offer any other trouble shooting advice. Does the engine turn? Do you hear just a click? ??

 

yea it seems like the engine wants to start. there is no click it seems like its going to start but it wont
