Default Who makes 88 civic specific seat floor brackets?

My good friend purchased some bucket seats off the vendor classifieds that are coming with seat brackets and universal sliders. he was told he just needed to purchase the specific floor brackets to his year and model car for them to work. I have tried helping him search but it seems like we can only find 89-91 Civic floor brackets which are different.

My question is for those who have used bucket seats in their 1988 Civic what floor brackets or seat rail/bracket combo did you use?

Im sure all the MAJOR seat companies would have the brackets that you need. Like a few that come to mind right away: Recaro, Sparco, Corbeau...

EDIT: BTW, I am using 89-91 CRX Cobeau brackets.

I was in the same situation w/ my 88 CRX. Tenzo-R makes brackets/rails for a reasonable price. Might want to check into what seats they fit though.

Also; I paid ~130$ if i remember correctly. The 88 used custom rails too. So I could just buy the bracket. Had to buy both. 89-91 on the other hand you just had to buy the bracket.

^ Those are 88s but for a CRX. I'm not sure if Civics and CRXs have different layouts for the 88 model year. Hopefully that was some help though.

I have tenzo seats and they came with bracket for my 88 crx si, I've also used the stock seat brackets/sliders to make it work on a friends crx, as well as make a custom seat bracket for a crx with ebay seats. For custom it's as easy as going to home depot sending about $45 in steel and copying the stock design to make the seats fit, of course you need some fab skills. Goodluck
