Default Difference between LX and EX

Hi i know this is probably a dumb question but I can't search it because "LX" and "EX" are too in character length for the search.

I need to buy a car soon and I have my mind set on a 5th generation accord 4cyl. Besides the LX 130 hp engine and EX 145, what are the differences between the two cars? Also, I'm going to get an automatic if that matters. Thanks.

Some of the differences are EX has the moon roof, Alloy wheels, and many other differences. Go to this link and look under the specs for 5th gen. It should give you some more details. There are a few differences not listed in the link. For instance, More powerful stereo, and other small differences.

I think the seats, and floor mats are higher grade too, even if you don't opt for the leather seats. Four wheel abs and disk brakes in back were one of the big things I looked at.

I checked out the link you gave me and from what I saw the only real performance differences are the engine and the brakes?

I'm contemplating getting an EX and fixing it up a little bit, but I'm not sure I want to invest money into an automatic.

EX adds to LX on the fifth generation: alloy wheels, moonroof, 4 wheel discs w/ ABS, power height for driver's seat, 6 speaker stereo, VTEC engine, dual exhaust. Go to the http://www.hondanews.com archives and find the 1994 Accord features and specs for more clarification.

And yeah, definitely go for the five speed.

What is the UL model?

If the rear bumper was replaced, then the EX badge would go with it. I am unfamiliar with UL, but EX-L means EX with leather package. I've heard the term EX-VL, which I believe means EX V6, though the "L" is reduntant as every EX V6 model has leather.

WRONG

6th gen accord EX's often didnt come with badging....UL might be short for ULEV...but he is talking about 5th gens.

ALL 5TH GEN EX ACCORDS CAME WITH A F22B1

UL may have something to do with meeting lower emission standards (California). But I'm not at all sure of that. I've seen engines with ULEV on the valve cover too. I think those are low emission engines.

ABS was a factory option on LX models, but it didn't come standard.

ABS, four wheel disks, moonroof, extra power, and no hubcaps are all things I like about the EX.
