Steering wheel hub adapter will not come off....::frustrated::
Hi,
Basically i removed the main nut from the sparco steering wheel hub adapter from my '98 Integra RS and i still can't remove the hub. (I'm trying to put my stock steering wheel back on.) I've lubricated the spline with liquid wrench (front and back), tapped it with a hammer in multiple locations, and yanked as hard as i possibly can to pull it off. Why would it be stuck? Should i go with a propane tank to heat it up next?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Well, you could goto your local autoparts store and rent a steering wheel puller and that should do the trick, but what I usually do is leave the wheel screwed into the hub, remove the big nut holding the hub down and just give it a few yanks back and forth. It should come off after yanking on it for awhile, just be careful you don't hit yourself in the face with the steering wheel like I have, that fuggin hurts, because when it finally pops loose you aren't expecting it.
Good luck
