Haha. Yeah, hop in the bed of Jon's truck when we stop for gas in Phx! Seriously tho, I'm not sure which HPDE'ers are coming out, but snag a ride with someone and come hang out with us for the weekend.

Then, when you get back, go get that shitbox re-caged, slap a stock motor in it, and come out for a good, old fashioned *** whippin in April!

Harut/Jeremy - we'll see you guys out there. Lookin forward to it.

In all seriousness though, maybe I will try to hitch a ride out there. Help with some wrenchin' and meet some of the Cali folk in person!

Unfortunately I will be staying in NorCal. I've always enjoyed the annual visit to CA Speedway.

I would have handed some spankin, but I heard there is somebody named Bernardo that is the favourite this time around.

Awesome that you are coming out!

I think I should be running again by then.. If it is not by Noevember, just send a blank check written to Danny Foldes and I will be sure to finish it.

You coming out Andy ... and are you on R-compounds yet? For my pride's sake, I hope not, because I was pretty embarrased at how you were running away from me (after you lapped me) in the infield on street tires. The good news for me was that you showed me where I was leaving some time and I was .3 secs faster on Sunday for it.

I'm not sure if I'll have my car or not. If I do I'll probably bring out some RA-1s for my points and some other tires for comparison.
If I don't have a car I'll probably come out for a day and mooch beer.

Looking forward to seeing everyone,

Watch out H4 here I come, that is, if I get the car back together in time! Although, I am in better shape than Thawley, at least I have a motor in my car (thanks again for the help Scott ) but no drivetrain. Parts should come in tomorrow (prays to the UPS god).

Danny, I have some space in my truck if you are really interested in going...

See you all there, It will be nice to finally meet you Cali guys.

Who the hell is woody55? ... j/k ... I'm still not used to the new name. It does inspire me though. I think I might copy you and change my handle to boner33 or something. weeeeeee!

Tell UPS to hurry up w/ those damn tranny parts. No excuses for missing Cali! My car is in pretty good shape now. I've banged out a ton of stuff in the last two nights. The interior is fully reassembled, the cam plug and valve cover gasket that were leaking that nasty oil sludge have been changed, got the brakes changed on the tow rig (sooooo nice to be on non-warped rotors again), got the ballast back in, relocated the fire extinguisher so that I can reach it when I'm strapped in, and a handfull of other small crap. The only "big" things I still want to get done are changing my front alignment (toe and camber) and swapping out one of my axles. I expect that I'll get both of those done tomorrow. Then, I can spend Saturday trying to figure out how to mount my winch on the trailer. See you all soon.

I'm not sure if Mike is going...

I'm trying to make it happen although I would have to run in PT-B cause of my lexan windshield unless I can find some cheap glass---
I would have to leave about 9PM Fri----

I trying to piggyback my car with a couple of guys with haulers then I could just drive out after work friday night.

Erik...Are you going H1 or H4?

We are going to run PAS at the east track this weekend, then if all goes well I will try to make Fontana.

Cal Speedway is my fav.......easy tow but after months of 12hr dayz : O..

You guys will have a BLAST!!!

Not sure what your idea of cheap is, but Erik just replaced his lexan windshield w/ glass for $200 installed. Should be the same one for your car. That sounded pretty good to me since I paid about $280 installed last time for the CRX windshield that only lasted one day.

Erik is running H4. We got his LS motor swapped in and he should be totally legal once he gets his tranny put together and in the car. He's running PAS this Sunday to shake down the car, so you'll probably see him out there.

Hope to see you in CA. Let us know if you're coming and we'll save some paddock space for you.

Lets get a pit place all picked out right now. Where is the place that everyone wants to pit?
Who is getting a garage?

Yep, what he said. H4 with a glass widshield. Got the tranny in tonight. Just have to finish up the small stuff now. I'll see you Sunday at FIR. Call glas pro at 602-257-0800 for a windshield, $203 installed.

Not gonna be easy to pit with our trailers AND be close to the light weights in the garages. I was thinking about getting some trailer-types all down near the bleachers at the hair-pin. Close to bathrooms and the kids will have more fun with a little more room and less traffic.

That's not sayin' much, but if it makes you feel better, go with it. Glad to hear our brothers from The Grand Canyon State will be joining us. Hope everyone makes it. Especially me.
