Default QUICK QUESTION REGARDING POWER STEERING

I have a 91 sedan project im about to start. I was wondering if I delete power steering by getting a new manual rack if I would also need the rear crossmember off a manual steering EF.....thanks in advance.

Im not 100% sure on the 88-91 if you will need a new xmember, but on the EG, EK, DC and most of the later models, you don't. Only need xmember if trying to put a power rack on a car not equipped, not the other way around.
Hope this helps some, incase no one else answers.

you can just remove the power steering and just plug the lines or install a breather kit like they do on eg's, that will work fine, you dont have to change racks. search in the rr/ax forum youll probably see more input there

My 16 year old steering rack is getting pretty sloppy so I plan on replacing it anyway....so I dont want to just plug or loop the lines.

I'm doing the exact same thing ('91 sedan project) and ended up buying the rack & x-member together.

My word is not gospell on this topic but I have read on here that a DA Integra rack is quicker.

I also know from this site that DA guys use CRX/3door Civic racks to to convert to non-power without swapping K frames.

This makes me think that a DA power rack might fit your 4 door.

Take some measurements of your rack, there are only 4 bolts holding it in. Go to Harrys-U-Pull-it or some other junkyard and see if the measurements are the same.

I have a DA rack in my storage garage for my swap but with my gravel driveway there is no crawling under my Rex for me.

Yes the power steering rack has a different rear crossmember. The manual rack has a smaller diameter tube. I have at least one rear X-member and two manual racks. Make me an offer.
