clutch wear???
Alright, for the past week or so I've noticed that the lude is driving kinda weird. It feels almost softer when I'm accelerating. It feels like when you've been driving at sustained speed on the interstate for a while and then come back to regular driving. I've also noticed that it seems the clutch doesn't grab until I've let it out further than before. I've only got like 22 thousand miles, but this is my first 5speed to own. I'm wondering, is my clutch wearing prematurely? Ohh, driving fast, hitting v-tec, it doesn't feel any worse, it's really only like from a stop and up to fourth when driving around town.
Common, I'm not looking for an in-depth explanation here I just need to know is this normal? Does this sound like it's the clutch? Am I gonna have to go and get the dealer to buy me a new clutch?
Sounds like clutch to me. They normally last at least 40k-50k miles though.
A guy on http://www.Preludeonline.com has over 173,000 miles on his original clutch on his 97 Prelude!

I thought so, I've just never really owned a 5spd, and it seemed really soon to have problems with the clutch but I'm takin it in tomorrow.
Edit: Has anyone else noticed the whole interstate/ clutch slippin thing? I'm guessing it's just everything just gets real hot (same concept as brake frade). But could be wrong.

I had 89K miles on my '97 when I traded it in and it still had a decent clutch - that is w/ generally spirited driving and literally dozens on drag strip runs.
