whatever side has the rubber is the side that gets pressed to the hub

A cool science class experiment like way to press the bearing in is you Take the bearing put it in the freezer for an hour and take the hub and put it in your oven for a few minutes preheated to 200. Quickly take the cold bearing out of the freezer and drop it in the hub.

Ive done that to change bearings in my dirt bike a few times it's easy.Just remember to use an oven mitt. And make sure the lady of the house isn't home to B*&^%

wouldnt u expand the hub and shrink the bearing, making it even harder to put on?

usually when i want to slide someone over something else, i heat the outer ring, and cool the inner ring. like if i wanted to put a bearing race into the tranny case, i heat the case and cool the bearing race. heat expands the case, and cold shrinks the race
