Default Cat Question

I was looking at getting a Megan Racing Header, a Tanabe Hyper medalian Exhaust, but i am not sure what the difference between a hi flow cat, a resonator and a test pipe are. I am not conserned with emisions because my old cat is good and will just swap it when the time comes. Will not having a cat harm my muffler. any coments about the setup are is appreciated. Thanks

A high flow cat. is basically an under restrictive cat. A test pipe is a solid wide open pipe that is totally unrestricted and bolts up where the cat went, and a resignator doesnt really restrict any flow but it cancels out sound frequenses.
Off my headder im running a test pipe, an 18 inch resignator, a full stainless 2.25 piping and an Apexi WS2 muffler and it performs awsome and sounds great really not loud under normal acceleration. O and not having a cat wont hurd your muffler just smeels really rich hahaha.
