b18b in a 89 hatch obd0. the car was running fine for almost a month with the exception of one cel for tps wich just needs to be adjusted but i dont have a voltmeter and the dizzy was making a scratching noise almost like a dry bearing?

so im driving home and the tach starts acting weird almost like i was running out of gas sorta droping then going back up so i press the clutch and its idleing fine so i let it out and keep driving and it dies. i let it sit for a second the try to start it and it almost did but cut out. now it wont start for ****. it turns over but thats it.

fuel pump is priming and getting fuel up the fuel rail. and i am getting spark i put a timing light to each plug wire and it flashed for each one. timing belt is ok everything lines up. i tried two differnt main relays. so now im stuck and dont know where to go from here. im thinking its the dizzy cause it was making funny noises. please give me any ideas you can think of. thanks

 

not sure if its the dizzy cause your getting spark right??

 

since you said it was making noises i'd pull the dizzy to see if the shaft is seized.
if there is red dust in the cap get a new dizzy.

 

yea it was the dizzy i took it off and looked at it real good and the rotor melted and moved so it wasnt sparking at the right time. im guessing it was a bearing that went out and made the noise and over heated. anyone got a obd0 ls dizzy for sale?
