Thinking about pickup a new '06 GSX-R 600 this weekend, need some info from u guys....
As the title states, give me some info on this bike from pros and cons.
Not getting into drag racing nor road-racing, just a bike I wanna go crusing and gun-it when I'm in the mood. Not looking for a bigger bike either since I'm NOT looking to be racing anyone other than for enjoyment, lol......as gay as that sounds! I know a few years back, the GSXers were the rage to get but been out of that scene for a long time.
TIA

I take this is bone-stock? Correct?

What about handling and braking? Someone here in the office mention the other bikes had better braking?
Well if you're just going out for cruising and not tracking, the brakes will be more than up to the task, as would the handling. It may turn in a little slower than an R6 though.
the top four 600 supersports have basically identical performance. Just go for he one you like better.

im also pickin up a new bike in the next few weeks and im back and forth with the 600rr and the gsxr 600.
i really like the honda looks and name, and on the other hand the suzuki comes with a steering dampener and honda does not, which helps with everyday city riding, and the suzuki seat is a little more comfy, unlike the honda.
but good luck with the purchase
hope i come to a decision soon.

If your just gonna cruise/ have fun, then get the one you like the most or the one you can get the best deal out of. If you're not going to race/track/wring the **** out of it, then you probably won't notice a difference between any of the new 600's.

It should cream all the 600's, it has 6% more displacement..
and did somebody say Kawasaki and reliable in the same sentence?
Are they really?

Are you set on a 600? If you are more interested in cruising around and whatnot have you thought about many of the naked options? I really like my Z1000 and the sv650s I had before it.

Yes, just looking to get a "cool" cruising around sportbike..........don't care for much for hauling a$$, if I do, I'll just slap a turbo & extending the body.
I sat on a CBR1000rr and a GSXR1000............I like the feel of both of them too! Only got aprove for $10k, so i'm not sure what to get and bugging you guys what should I get.........lol
