Default 97 GSR Turbo ForSale - Good Buy?

I was thinking about looking at this car this afternoon.

FOR SALE
Year 1997
Price $13400
1997 Acura Integra turbo gsr,2dr,blak,41k orig miles, lowered, rims w/ new tirs, keyless entry, wings west body kit, just passed smog, wings west body kit w/ type r front lip, three piece mid wing w/ led light, autometer tach with blue/yellow shift light, autometer boost gauge, matrix shift ****,short shitfter turbo is t3 turbonetics w/ spearco intercoler, hks blow off valve, boost controller, delta wastegate, dowpipe, drag piping, rev hard manifold, fmu fuel managment, drag piping, greddy turbo timer.

Anyone have any idea what this car might run in the 1/4 mile? How reliable? Is it bad to buy a car that was obviously raced?

I don't think it has been abused long enough to be worried about. It's only been driven like 10000 miles per year. That's not bad. Um, ask the seller how long the turbo has been on the car, ask about how frequently he/she has changed the oil and with what kind. Since it passed smog, it shouldn't be running much boost, unless it's been tuned. Check with kbb.com and nada for the price for the milage. Oh yeah, just about every GSR has been raced at one time or another. Hope that helped. BTW, just checked KBB, a 1997 GSR with 41000 miles and all the options will bring the seller about $10845. The body kit and all of the turbo hard/software probably cost them a few grand.

just my opinion and experience but any turbo car has been run hard. Why would any one get a turbo car then drive it slow?? But this isnt the rule for everyone so you might actually have a chance to drive a well maintained car. Just be careful and make sure you inspect everything

Well..its a definite 13 second car. Looks like a show car also. But you wrote it has keyless entry right? Make sure it has door handles. I'm sure if you don't have door handles you can't race because of safety reasons.

13g's is a pretty fair price. But I would do a compression and leak down before I bought that car. If you know how to drive, that car would go 12's on drags or slicks.

Yea a turbo beats the hell out of the motor,so make sure its within spec as far as compression, and make sure its tuned properly
