Roll Cage Tubing Size
I know I saw this on here before when the Welding/Fab section was brand new but I can't find it again.
What is the standard size for roll cage tubing? I have to call my steel supplier tomorrow but I can't get a positive answer on the tubing size.

I would try to make it to someones guidlines they are there to ensure your safety, so you know the guidlines will work for what you need... and you never know what you might want to do with the car later on down the road, dont want to have to do the job twice.

That is not the purpose of a roll cage, the purpose of a roll cage is to provide a safety structure for the driver an added benefit is chassis stiffening. Please refer to a rule book
Like others have said... pick a rulebook... Go with NHRA if you have any doubt as they like heavier cages than most roadrace sanctioning bodies.
Also, are you looking for a full cage or a 6 point Rollbar? If it's a streetcar, I'd stick with a rollbar rather than a full cage
Assuming Mild Steel, you're looking for DOM tubing... no ERW even though its much cheaper.
