tps sensor on gsr..
so i've just started getting a code 7. "tps sensor" on my b18c1 with obd0 b16a ecu... should i replace the whole tb for a better one? or just the sensor??.. what does the throttle body do anyways? and why do aftermarket ones cost so much?
please post back asap.

i think you should figure out why you're getting code 7 before you do anything else.

The throttle body is connected to the gas pedal using a throttle cable. It's job is to supply the motor with air when you step on the gas. When you press the pedal, the cable the opens the butterfly, your engine breathes and usually responds with an increase in rpm and or acceleration. usually the car will idle or decelerate when the butterfly is closed.

?? i unplugged it and plugged it back in. it revs up a lil to like 1.2 k rpms.. then kinda stutters a lil... no check engine light tho.. i've noticed it when im revving at a good pace like on the hwy it kinda feeels like im letting go of the pedal.. 1) last question. why would someone want a bored out tb? and why does it cost so much.. ?
dont know why your revs are high, unless the engine is cold or removing the wires did something. you may need to calibrate your sensor. you need a tool to measure volts at closed throttle and wot. if it turns out that you need a new tps, i beleive most honda tps sensors will work.

to answer your question, anytime someone bores something the are making the inside diameter larger, in this case allowing more air through the throttle body and hopefully into the engine====more power.
