TPS sensor
Hey
I have a 2000gsr and when i floor my car from 1st till like 3rd or when im just flooring it really hard my check engine light goes on, i checked the engine code and its the tps sensor. Whenever i turn the car off and on again the light goes away and it only happens when im flooring it. I have an Edelbrock throttle body and i think it came with its own tps, I talked to my freind that owned the car before and he said that the throttle opens up a little to much and makes the engine light go on. Anyone have any clue what it might be or how to fix it?

WOT= wide open throttle.
Make sure the cars off but the key is on the on position,test tps sensor output voltage while holding throttle open by hand by using the throttle cable. If its out of spec just adjust it!
Use a mulitimeter!

It's kind of dumb to hold the throttle body at WOT with the engine running don't you think?
Leave the engine off and but make sure the key is in the on position. Put the positive electrode in the middle wire of the TPS plug and the negative on the negative electrode on the battery to check the voltage.
