Default Going from a 479WHP ITR to a 02 S2000

Well i think its time for me to move on,, I love my JDM 479WHP type R but I now have a 04 ZX-6R 636 bike that is just as fast as my R and 3 times more liable and 100times cheaper..........

so I just want a nice ride to cuise arround with in the summer, ill probably only drive it 2-3 times a week since i have my bike and 4-5 other cars.. I want a drop top... I only plan on slamming it on 19s and putting an intake! besides that leave it stock..

Ive been in many S2ks but never actually driven one,,, so will i be happy with my decision?

S2k is a great well balanced car... not sure about putting 19s on it but whatever floats your boat.

I'm starting to fall in love w/ my s2k depite the lose of my beloved ITR
however, if you want a pimp ride to cruise around, i'd look into getting an NSX-T also. It'd look much better than s2k with 19s IMO

appearently you haven't owned the R.
If i remember correctly, one of 2000/2001 issue of EVO magazine,
DC2-R was one of very few vehicle to receive 5 star out of 5.
i think it also stated that it's like an untamed animal/too raw for most
along with comment like one of best handling cars

The S2000 is a different animal...apples and oranges really when comparing a rear wheel drive roadster to a front wheel drive performance car...the ITR is certainly an experience that will make you happy, but i can tell you this, the S2000 will not dissapoint, and it will put a smile on your face from ear to ear...you just cannot get the feeling a rear wheel drive sports car (especially a true roadster) out of a front wheel drive car, no matter how much power or handling improvements you get out of it. You'll love the S2000...and you'll probobly end up sticking with rear wheel drive cars for the rest of your life afterwards.

Look at any comparison of the S2000 vs. other sports/performance cars in its price range ($25,000-$40,000)...it has stayed at the TOP of that list for YEARS as far as new cars go...and if you know anything about the car itself...you know that there isnt a magazine, television show, DVD mag or car review website that has said anything but positive things about the S2000...both Top Gear and 5th Gear gave S2000 top awards for its near flawless transmission and the simple fact that it is, without question, a pure bred sports car...

I never said any negetive things about s2k.
i for myself own one as replacement to my R.
sure the s2k is very nice car and will match with cars that cost more
but there is something you can only experience with the R
i do love my s2k and started to get more attached to it
however, somedays i just miss the feeling of my R
especially when i see another R pass by me

So you're saying that the Integra Type-R offers something "better" that the S2000 just cant provide to a driver? Please explain...while ive never actually personally owned an integra Type-R, ive driven them more times than i can remember, even autocrossed one on 3 occassions, and while i will never deny they are truely performance cars, i would hazard to say that it is actually the S2000 that can offer everything the ITR does AND also offers things the ITR cannot...

I dont make the comment that one is better than the other...as that is purely an opinionated stance...but when you look at the facts between the cars, given what both cars were essentially engineered for (performance)...while the ITR may provide a "different" kind of experience, i dont think one could go as far as to say it offers something MORE that the S2000 doesnt.

the s2k would definately be more reliable than ur teggy and would have more usable power on the street and around the turns....

but u know just like everyone reading this should, it wont be nearly as fast on the highway or just about any straightaway; thats what the motorcycle is for....

i was actually put in the same position with a turbo hatchy, i sure do miss her but i got the bike cuz its damn more reliable and bought an rsx-s as a daily

Sell the typeR, buy a EG and swap in your turbo motor, keep your zx6r, and use the s2k for your daily...

hrmm...sounds like my garage!

I dont need an turbo EG.. besides I did that 4 years ago,, lol

I own a garage/dealership so i really dont need a daily driver since i always have 7-10 cars...
so the bikes are toys and so will be the S2k.........

I like my toys

Good choice on the S2000...its a whole new world of driving experience over a front wheel drive performance car, even if it isnt faster in a straight line...

its shocking how many s2k's get wrecked within a week or so of owning them... people need to learn how to drive a rwd car before owning an s2k. Or hit up an autox a few times when they get it so they learn the car.

people just assume they can take turns like its their job since the s2000 handles well. i bet if the nsx was cheaper, and more people could afford them they would be getting wrecked left and right.
