Default LS/VTEC: Hardware compatablity?

i have an 89' crx si and am in the process of swapping an LS/VTEC motor. I already have the block(b18a1) and the head, from a 2000 civc si. My question is what wiring do i have to do in order to use my OBD 0 harness w/ the OBD1 block and OBD2 distrubier and head. any suggestions.

unless you want to convert to obd1, youll need an obd0 vtec distributor, which i actually have for sale not sure about all of the plugs (sensors and what not) on the obd2 head, but i think as long as you have an obd0 vtec ecu/dizzy and a resistor box, then you should be ok. just as a heads up tho, obd1 is much greater than obd0, but it would be a little more expensive in your case, because you would need an obd1 dizzy/ecu, 4-wire O2 sensor as well as a recommended conversion harness...

anyways GL and let us know what you end up doing/if you need any more help

you can get a conversion harness from rywire, you will need a 4 wire o2 sensor, obd1 ecu (probaly a p73 would be the best from what i hear) and an obd1 dohc distributor, you can repin the old obd0 plugs for the dizzy or you can order adapters for from rywire too for $30...

now this im not sure but i thin kyou have to wire in the nock sensor (1 wire) and the iacv (1 wire) but its no big deal cuz those wires already come soldered into the conversion harness

that all depends on if the car is already swapped/stock, i believe those steps are true, but i just dont recall doing them cuz i already had a b16 in before i did ls/v --> obd1 etc. etc.

anywho good luck and let us know which route you take/how it goes...
