Anyone know where I can get an easy to mount fire extinguisher for my ITR? Want one for tracking safety.

H'mmm an R owner from NY that I haven't met yet???? Another potential R-speed member...
Oh and I hope the extinguisher is not just for that Race look? What track are you planning on running her at? Any local events soon?

get one at walmart and ziptie it to your rear tower brace...Not the closest, but a lot closer then the corner worker or paddock, and very easy to take out when you get home so your friends don't call you a rice boy.

Thanks Dave, See pretty cool then, there are a bunch more ITR's than we've already met in our area...
I wonder just how many there really are?

Thx for the tips.
I do not know what an A-pillar is. I've seen some mounted to the fron base of the passenger seat. Seems like that would work.
Sounds like there is nothing out there made for the ITR so that I could avoid the drilling. Was hoping a wrench was all I would need.

I have since padded the bars and added a cam mount, but you get the idea:
Things to look for:
1) can I (driver) reach it?
2) is it going to come off and hit me in the head?
3) is it large enough to do any good?
4) does it have the right extinguishing material for car fires?

Ron,
Before you think about fire safety, think about bodily safety. Get a roll bar first. With the removable harness bar, the backseat will still be useful. I remember someone posting a pic of a harness bar with yellow padding. Their system had a removable cross and harness bar so the back seat was still useful (and safely).

what kind of bar is that? It doens't look like the autopower as i think the autopower (i think the autopower's harness bar bolts into the cross brace? correct me if i'm wrong.
