Actually high flow intakes headers and exhaust can not kill fuel efficiency as it improves flow into the engine allowing the engine to work more efficiently because pumping losses are reduced. As for performance if the DC-sports header is designed similar to the comptech model it should get pretty good gains because the stock units on J series motors is horribly designed

Thank guys! I'm probably order the header next week since there are few peoples out there already installed on their car and initial report is good gain with no fitment or resonance issues.

Friend has AEM CAI and DC header on his 03 TL-S...car sounds different, but he ran the same #'s at the strip...gas mileage (from what he's told me) was not effected in either a good or bad way. He said that the header combined with his comptech exhaust lead to an annoying droan while driving at highway speeds...he's selling the car right now because its about to have to have a new tranny.

So you said your friend's car did not run any faster with all these mods? I though with header, CAI, and exhaust, the car should run about half second faster or more.?? About the drone, so far, I only hear complain from Megan header. Comptech exhaust supposes to be very quiet with little or no drone??? hopefully with DC header, it won't change the sound much with my Apexi WSII!

I'll let you guys know the update in couple of weeks.

I didnt ever get the header for my Accord v6 because when I had it the only one available was the comptech unit and I didnt have that much money to spend on it. As for noise issues I had an Injen CAI, HP Racing 4-1 stainless steel header, and a custom mid pipe (ran from stock cat to stock muffler) on my 2002 Civic Si and the header was the last thing I did to that car and I didnt notice any change in tone from installing it. I would account drone from the exhaust more than a header IMO

Just installed the header 2 weeks ago. The fitment is good; however, I hear little hissing sound under load when accelerate hard from 2.5K up to 4k; especially in 4th or 5th gear. Normal driving has not such sound. The gain is very noticable at or near Vtec point. No change in loudness of the car. The sound of exhaust and engine is the same. No drone, no vibration issue. Dyno my car last week and 230whp is the best of 3 runs.
