i use to work for a honda dealership and the bodyshop wanted 350 bucks to paint my hood, an imo thats pretty high

how much do you think its supposed to cost? 350 isnt bad, if you dont want to spend much take it to maaco, or look for a PY hood for sale... other than that you get what you pay for.

that 350 was with my emplyee discount, everywhere else iv called was over 400

thats alot of money just to paint the hood

i mean macco paints entire cars for 500 bucks, granted its not a good paint job but still

for real im lookin to pay like 100-150 bucks to get this done, that in my mind seems like a fair price to paint a hood

When you buy a used car you get the car and all of the problems that come with it.

No way your going to find anything qaulity for 100-150. I would think absolute min would be like 275. They most likely have to blend the fenders in too.

there arent any problems with the car, the hood is just white, i didnt get into an accident, i just use to have a carbon fiber hood on my car, and i traded hoods with this guy he gave me his hood and some and instead of doin the smart thing and using the money to paint the hood right away i spent the money, now i want to sell the car so i need to paint the hood

For that kind of money you should buy another CF hood.

Othewise, I think the biggest cost is going to be paint. Why not buy some paint yourself and come clearcoat and find someone willing to do just the work. Prep the hood yourself.

Dude, $350 is not a lot. As a matter of fact, to do it right, it costs more than that. PY paint is not cheap, and sanding, prep, etc. is not either. Comparing MAACO paints jobs/prices is assanine.. Go have MAACO paint your hood come tell us how it turns out..
