I'm no OBX fan but i dont think they could screw up an oil pan too bad.

Looks pretty good and comes with studs too.

Moroso

Why take a chance on something hardly nobody has used.

totally.

also, designing an oil pan is trickier than it seems. tricky enough that i wouldn't trust OBX to do it right...

I bought one and only half of the holes lined up and the other half were about a 1/4" off. So I sent it back and the sent me another one and it was the same way. Also the bafle door hing was held together by a tiny *** wire, which looked like it could fall apart at any moment. Do not waste your cash just cough up the extra cash and go Moroso!

you'd think OBX would be able to pull of making exact copies of stuff, but they struggle with that, apparently.

JTperformance's story is exactly what i come to expect. the OBX "exact copy" of a quaife isn't that exact either.

you guys are forgtting that obx doesnt actually make most of this stuff,, all obx does is put their name on it.
If you guys have a problem with a company, then dont buy from them simple as that., but dont be talking ****, without haveing actually proof.

Without having actual proof? I saw the pictures of their "copy" LSD in pieces. Proof enuf that their manufacturing techniques and materials used to make their knock-offs are low quality. I understand that they sub-contract out their work and slap their name on it, that being said their contract goes to the lowest bidder and the quality shows. I wouldnt trust OBX to anything that would be put on/in my car, ever.

i definitely do not buy OBX stuff for whatever reason.

however, without the free exchange of ideas we might as well be buying turbonators and tornado fuel savers.

slander is one thing. a varied collection of documented cases of shoddy build quality or other problems is an asset to the community at large.

If OBX wants people to stop shitting on their products, they should start offering better products (as well as offer better customer service).

I installed a Moroso Aluminum oil pan on a customers B20b and believe it or not all the holes were not 100% aligned. I had to go back and drill the holes larger so it would fit accordingly.

I'm not saying moroso is bad... but what I'm saying is if you have to modify a $500 oil pan, what makes you think a $99 OBX one is going to fit perfectly and be a quality item unlike their other products?
