Default T1R exhaust Ques.

I have heard great things, but still have a few questions. Does the T1R give the S a buzzing sound like most hondas have? I want a good honda sound, not a pissed off bumble bee!! I also don't want something that will get every cop in town to notice me. If anyone has a sound clip that would be great! Also I want the most power out of an exhaust, so is this the one? They also come in single and dual. Which would be better for performance? Also they mention coming with a silencer, will they affect performance? Sorry for ALL of the questions, I just want to do right by my S If there is a specific T1R exhaust that is better please mention which one. Thanks

To my knowledge, the T1R 70R is one of, if not the highest horsepower yeilding exhaust systems on the market. It is a full 70mm stainless piece, that comes with a test pipe to delete the catalytic converter. It is a single exhaust, and I have read that it will make 15-18 WHP over the stock exhaust. I believe it weights in at 28lbs, a little more then the titanium ones, but still lighter then stock. I have only ever heard one sound clip though, and I will tell you now, that it is definately not quiet, though it does sound very mean, like a race car type tone. There are also the T1R 63mm Single and the T1R Sparrow Dual. I am not sure of the numbers for the dual but I know the 63mm single made 4-5 less WHP then then the 70mm.

Hope this helps!

Mine sounds like an Indy car on steroids, well maybe not exactly, but you get the point I did alot of research and chose the T1R Power 70 for its cost, and power gain. 70mm singles will give more power than any other exhausts. It does come with a silencer, but I have never put mine in. Just driving around town it is not that loud, however it gets loud WOT. A silencer will slow it down a bit. The only downside is that I have an 02 CEL because of the test pipe. Some may argue the J's 70RR is a better choice, to those I say, show me a dyno chart.

< - - - T1R Power 70 owner - Wouldn't even consider another exhaust

This is not the 70mm though. Does anyone know of another sound clip, from a S, with the 70mm exhaust?

I am not saying they are the same company...But spoon helping them with product development would be considered ties.

Default T1R Titanium for AP

Gang,

T1R full Titanium 70mm system for the AP will be released in mid April.

No pics yet, but here are pics of a Full ti version for DC5. You can expect similar quality for the AP version.

Njoy,
wayne
