Default Steering Rack Problem

Here is the deal. I bought a 1988 CRX with the intention of driving it for a while and fixing it up and then selling it. I put a ton of time and effort into this car and am about to finally get it on the road. I was going to do a home alignment since the front wheels were almost going in opposite directions. When I went to adjust the lock nut on the steering rack, I found the it was frozen. I soaked it for a week in liquid wrench and tried to remove it with my muscle and then with my impact gun. I got no results. Do I have to scrap the whole steering rack just because of the froze lock nuts? Any help would be appreciated.

don't ditch the rack, it has to come loose, its not welding on therefore it will come loose. you are loosening the big *** nut first not the little 14mm one right. get a huge adjustable wrench or pipe monkey wrench and put it on the big nut, it'll loosen up.

i just used a channel lock wrench. to get some more torque, i used two sockets and extension bars to get more leverage. thats all i needed to loosen it.
