code 6 and 9 on zc
hey guys do you konw what I have to replace to get rid of these codes on my dohc zc I read the code book and it says 6= coolant temp and 9= no 1 cylender position only 1.6 does anyone know how to fix this
#6 says take it to the dealer (not). you maybe forgot a wire? hooks up on the back of the engine mid way down almost center. #9 is most likly one of the two wires that go to the crank angle censor on the exaust cam side of the head. you might have them backwards or one may be loose. i hope this helps. good luck. also to get the ecu to stop flashing you have to cut power to it i.e. unhook bat. or unplug ecu etc.
on your #9 did you swap your cyl position sensor wire around the zc truns backwards from a si so i need to swap the wires..as for your #6 you must have it running right ? i don`t know with that one but i`d check your wire to the sensor..
