Default Recommendations for tire pressures on V710s on CRX

I have never run the kumho V710s before. Have been a RA-1 user. Not on track today with them because it is too damn wet. Tomorrow looks good at Barber though. Anyone got good advice on where to start with my pressures with these tires 205/50/15 on a 15x7 wheel? Stripped CRX with fat *** driver I am somewhere in the 2100lb. (car and driver that is) range. Koni Yellows/GC/Eibach ERS 450lb.fr/550lb.rear set up.

Trying to take the guess work out of the initial starting point. TIA.

Barry H.

i've been shooting for 35 to 38 psig hot per:

https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1328261

i too have seen 40 psig as being too hot and having excessive wear in the middle and the tires going away near the end of the session.

very satisifed with the tires and the SCCA contingency!

Is 40 for front and rear both? The V710s are pretty high on my list for new stickies.

Not to steal your thread...

Does the 7 inch wheel seem like overkill to you with the 205s? I am thinking of stuffing 205s on my stock 5" rims.

never had any problems at 40, but a couple over and they do go away faster. And for the shorter sessions I liked the pressures a little higher, things were more responsive and I could go right from the begining.

7in is not overkill for the 205 710, they are wide for the sizes listed.

i personally like the rear tires about 5 psig less than the front. i shoot for about 38/33 hot.

Wow...you guys run pretty high pressures in V710s. From my experience and from talking to other local auto-x'ers here, we normally run very low pressures with V710s. My target hot pressure is 30psi (32psi max), so my cold pressure is usually around 26psi. Even with this low pressure, the tire wear on the shoulders is perfect. BTW, this is in my Prelude that weighs roughly 3000 lbs with me in the car. My wheel and tire size is 225/50/16 V710s on 16x7 wheels. So with a 2100 lbs CRX, IMO I would start with 25psi cold.
