So here is an interesting story I'd thought you guys might like to hear.
It all began in 2001, when I first purchased R 352 for $18,000. Added some Recaros later that year for about another 2200? from Jason on Honda-tech. Over the course of the next years, your normal wear and tear items, such as clutch and flywheels, and new tires every so often. 2005 was a rocky start, ended up totaling the car, bought the car back, and fixed it for 11k? which included minor frame damage and a new paint job. Finally got the car back sometime in late June, and blew the motor in October. The car burned oil profusely, and decided to sell the shell. After a few responses from you guys here on Honda-tech, I decided to keep the car afterall and put a new engine in it. Called up Len over at Baranco and he gave me a great deal on an engine assembly kit that I never got a chance to thank him for. THANKS LEN! That cost me around 4,200, plus another 3K for installation at a dealer here in Houston. Earlier this month, after spending around 20,000 on the car last year, someone decided to steal my car from my apartment complex here in a suburb called Kingwood. It was found only 4 days later completely stripped. So, I've lost everything that I've worked hard to maintain for the past 5 years. I did not have full coverage, just liability since after totaling it. Why you ask? Cars are rarely stolen from the Kingwood area, if you are familiar with Houston. So if don't have full coverage on your R, I strongly encourage it. As for me, everything is out of pocket now. Further financial situations currently prevent me from buying another car, which makes it hard for a guy who works 50 miles away from home. So if your the guy(s) who stole my car, I just want to thank you for ruining my life for the time being. Just remember Karma, what goes around comes around. Maybe in the next 2 years I might have another chance at an R, but for now....this is 98-0352 signing off for good.
98-0352 totalled, salvaged, stolen & recovered, R.I.P.
P.S. If your interested in parts, I have the location of the shell. I also have available some itr seats that have been in storage since 2001. Also available are a new ITR nose bra in box, 2 OEM 15in ITR wheels with Dunlop SP9000s, and a new C's short shifter (nonadjustable).

what do you do for a living, it doesn't seem unlikely that you can't pick up a cheap beater car, especially since you can blow 2200 on some seats, im not being rude im just saying it seems like you spend money very easily on your car, i mean over the course of five years is a long time to spend that much but ive had my car for 3 years and i could never imagine actually blowing that much cash on one thing especially since "tuning" cars is just a hobby for me, but yea theives suck, you should see portland, ive had my car broken into 3 times, good thing i have nothing worth stealing, good luck next time

wow! I'm so sorry to hear that bro. I can't believe that!
If you have any extra parts laying around with a part number sticker, I don't mind refunding you some money to help you out. Just give me a call or PM me.

man that's a shitty story to read when you first wake up

wish you luck though and hope you bounce back, just makes a garage all that more important no matter where you live i guess
when exactly did it get stolen btw??

OMG...that is horrible.
But why, why, why would you not put full coverage on the car? That's just asking for trouble.
Even comprehensive - which doesn't cover collision - would have covered theft. Why wouldnt you cover a car that you had dumped $20K into?
