hey i'm in the process of getting an Rsx, and i was just wondering what the theft rate on them are? Do they get stolen easily or wat?, THNKS, any info would be great.

 

they really have to be taken on a flatbed because of the key im-mobilizer, so i say no

immobilizers don't really do much as type Rs and other Hondas with immobilizers get stolen like no other. :shruG: i would argue that the theft rate will be going up with the RSXs due to the popularity of the K motors nowadays being the swap to do.

 

so do u think it would be smart to go from an integra, to a RSX?

if a thief wants something you have, they will get it either way

what he said. also, do what you want to do. i don't think theft should dictate the way we enjoy our cars. insurance is key.

 

up to know theft hasnt really been a big problem with the newer hondas like the ep3 and dc5...but thats from what ive seen...i havent heard of too many stolen dc5/ep3, if any..

 

most of the stories about an RSX being broken into is just like a smash and grab. but there have been a few horror stories of the **** being flatbeded

 

it is a lot harder to steal our new civics/rsx's due to the Flashed Key, therefore u cannot start the car without the key i believe.

older civics were easy cause they were easy to break into and easy to get started.
