b16 tach problems

b16 tach problems
crx b16 my tach needle bounces all over and my car sometimes wants to sputter and die any suggestions to what might be the problem? and i just changed the distributor brand new from rpm partz

Probably ignitor if bounching all around.
Since you just replaced parts, it may be something is not making a great conections, I would first double check that.
If your old ignitor was good, and you just replaced for a tune-up type reason, try the old one and see if the problem stops, or try one from your stock engine or a buddys -if it stops, the ignitor you just got is the problem.
