120eplies and NO help? Nobody cares about your half assed attempts at an insult.

Do you have a stock hole cut by the fender? You should have a hole where the intake would meet the resonator. Once you remove all that crap, there should already be a hole there. I have heard that SOME civic models did not come with that hole already there, however I am not familiar with which models those are since mine had a hole there already. If that hole is there, the piping should go thorugh the hole, around the splashguard material, to the bumper.

If that hole is not there, I am not sure what tool you would use to make a perfect hole. Maybe they make those attachments for drills that are circular saws to cut metal. The ones I have used speifically stated not to use them on metal, but they werent very good quality. Just good for plastics and wood...not metal. If you cant find a handtool, call around to body shops or places that do custom work and see what they can do.

And dont worry about a flamesuit, if you want to run a front mount intake regardless of the power gains/losses, go ahead it is your car, do what you want

should be no modification needed...is the lower piece of your stock airbox still there? if so...take that out and the piping should run through there

I seriously doubt you'd have to do any cutting.
Just remove teh old intake completely, and start fitting the new intake on, and you'll see how easily it goes on.

yeah I had to cut a hole in mine to! I have a 98 civic lx, I had the front mount also at one time, until I got the JDM 2nd gen b16a.

People need to shut he expletive up! Its HIS CAR, HIS not yours! Its not a fake intercooler, or a interfooler, nor is it rice, you lame asses!!! Its just a cold air intake. If spoon designed it or if j racing designed a front mount air intake EVERYONE AND there mom would be buying them!!! Who cares what it looks like or what it ressembles. People don't buy this **** to pretend they have an intercooler! Its the great source of cold air just like removing a head light, and drawing air through there! The only thing that sucks about this FMI is the 2" piping and the legth and bends! Just because you guys don't like it doesn't mean its rice! The guy asked if he needs the make a hole to install it and the first 15 replies were " oh now did you buy the interfooler" " get your flame suit on" thats so gay!!! If you wanna talk **** and pick on members go to a domestic forum and do it there! Everyone is different, everyones car is different and everyones imagination is different, just support what others do and stick to the questions being asked!!!

Its the same situation with people comin on here and bitching that they got tickets and that the cops are *********. Well you have it reversed because your the *********. Why do you think the cops hate imports, why do you think states are passing laws against us modifying our cars. Its because little lame *** kids have to STREET race and race every ford tempo and every accord on the street! In all the years before f&f there were muscles cars racing and driving around! no problems, you know why cause they werent't idiot kids with mufflers on their parents stock car and driving 60 in a 30 cuz your car is lowered and you have the pep boys special wing on your car.. Seriously, we need to stop being ignorant. They wanna ban illegally modified exhausts and their measuring out ride heights. And the way its going in a few years we'll all have to drive stock cars. Stop giving the cops a reason to hate us. Don't speed, don't race, put your catalytic converters and reasontors back on, don't chirp your tires or down shift a gear every time some one else is passing you, THEY DON"T WANT TO RACE YOU!!! Paint your cars, lower them, put rims on them or body kits, but don't act stupid. If you are serious about modifying your engine and your after performance then an aftermarket exhaust is ok. But if your engine bay is dirty and has never been touched cuz you dont care just stick with your stock exhaust! because its ruining it for everyone. Just drive safe, don't race and be mature. And there will be no deaths, accident, or tickets given out, don't give the cops a reason to mess with you!!! The import scene is big and its gonna be around for a while, so lets not spoil all the fun!!!!!!

only ex model 96-98 civics have the cut out you are talking about cuttin if you dont have an ex its not there and yes you have to cut....but you would be better off not because the only possible way of that thing being effective is removing that plastic cover infront of the filter, but by doing that open your self into a world of other problems, water for most but rocks too....so just return it pay the restocking fee and buy a short ram
