Default Manual Tranny fluid

Ok, it is getting about that time when I think I need to change my Tranny fluid. I am begining to get some grinds into 2nd and third under hard acceleration (I know that that is not my tranny fluid it is my sincros, but I also know that a better, clean fluid will minimize that damage to my gears everytime the sincros don't work). So the Honda manual and my Hanes recommends nothing but honda fluid, but I know that there is some great fluid out there (i.e. redline, Mobile 1, etc.). My question is, what has been your experience with different manual tanny fluids with the newer honda trannies?? Or would you recommend sticking with Honda fluid. Keep in mind that my sole concern is performance and longevity of my transmission.

Motul Gear (or Gear 300) i forget which one is in...

If you are even partially grinding, then the damage is already done, and you have to know that. Switching to a different fluid will change the 'feel' and what actually happens when shifting gears, but it wont replace the parts you need to down the line.

Yes, but the slight grinding normally comes from the sincros wearing out and the speeds of the gears not matching prior to the gear engaging. The grinding is the sound of the gears as a result. Depending on the tranny you can get away with this for a bit with out much damage being done to the gears. My thought is that a good fluid, and being easy on the gears (i.e. shifting so that the sincros have to do minimal work) will elongate the life of my tranny and hopefully prevent any damage beyond the slight sincro problem that I have now.

Has anyone had any experience with the sincro mesh, how well does that work? Thanks for the sugestions so far, keep them coming the more options the better
