Default Help with Starter Installation

Hello, I recently purchased a remanufactured starter for my del sol VTEC (b16a3) but after bolting it on and making start attempts it sounds like the starter shaft is grinding against the flywheel. I don't think its the wrong starter because it bolts perfectly to the block and neither a single cam non Vtec and Vtec starters will fit. So, I'm wondering if there are extra steps other than bolting the starter in the right place and connecting all the wires properly. Your opinions will be greatly appreciated.

Logically, i has to be either the wrong part if it seems to fit from the outside, or something is wrong with your flywheel.

Well, the original starter worked fine after it died. I recently changed my clutch and the flywheel is perfect.
Is there any other car that might use the same starter?
