i plan on buying a pair of 57pro's
car is a 92 prelude.
if i go with 17x8 which offset should i get? also does anyone know if 17x8 will rub or if steering will be affected. is 17x8 safe and smart?
also if i decide to go with the 17x7 which offset should i get?
thx
edit: does any one know the weight of 57pro 15's?

i think the recommended offset for 17x7's is somewhere in the 40-45 range. someone correct me if i'm wrong about that. i don't know about the 17x8 offset, or if it will rub on a 4th gen, but i know a guys that has them on his 5th gen and they only rub when he's pushing the car through a corner.
I have the 17 x 7 with 40 offset, and I don't rub at all with the car being at -1 finger on all 4 corners. If you're going for a wider rim, I'm not sure how high of an offset you can get, but go for whichever is larger.
does any one have ne pics of a car with the 15" 57pros? also any one know the weight per wheel on them?
will 45mm offset be ok on 17x7?
will 45mm offset be ok on 17x7?
The 17" rims aren't as light as their name would suggest. By no means are they heavy, but if you're looking for performance based lightweight rims then you should look elsewhere.
The 57Pros have a polished lip, and thus it tends to make the wheels look smaller than they are since the spokes don't extend all the way to the outer rim of the wheel. I have 17" ones, and it could easily be mistaken for 16" rims but after I slammed the car it cured it a bit. The tradeoff is that the bigger the rim, the more chance you have of rubbing.
Having a 45 offset on 17 x 7 will work fine on our cars, and you could even get something in the high 30s actually if you don't slam the car too much.

i want 16's but the 57pros dont come in 16's thats why i asked if ne one seen 15s in a pic to see if i like them. i want a pair of rims that are light and style so i dont havta always worry about switching my rims and ****. something that can be ok with performance and look decent. and i dont want the spoon knockoffs i like them but not stylish enuf know what i mean?

not sure what the offset situation is on 4th gens, but with 5th gens a 17x8 will only work with offsets b/w 48 and 50 (give or take a mm).
this depends also on your drop and what size tire you're planning on running--either 215/40/17 which is too narrow for a lot of reasons unless the particular tire model is known for being wide, or 235/40/17 which is great, but is slightly tall and has more of a chance of rubbing.
225/45/17 is too tall, 245/35/17 is a little too wide.
