Default B16A2 --> 92-95 Civic ... what parts needed?

Hi guys,
Need help .. I am installing a JDM B16A2 into an EG .. will the stock mounts swap over to the JDM motor? And what motor is the US equivalent, to buy OEM Honda parts (timing belt, water pump, etc) for it?

TIA.

Use parts off of a Del Sol vtec. Same motor essentially.

You can use all your stock mounts except the rear tranny mount. You will have to get one from a 3rd generation integra for the swap. You may also have to get the timing belt mount as well.

good luck.

you should use integra GSR motor mounts and the motor should fit right in if your EG is a SI then your set with the wiring and the VTEC!!

I'm pretty sure that your going to need all vtec mounts. I would go with the del sol mounts as well. I think that the top tranny mount is going to come from your civic. You can use the mounts that are undert he frame rails in the front from your civic and the rubber part of the mount on the sub frame from the civic. You are going to need the back bracket from the del sol. Not 100% but pretty sure.

if you order a swap all the mounts that come on it you can use, unless its a first gen motor. if its a 2nd gen not b16a2 as that would bne 97-00 del or civic si motor, the mounts will bolt right up that come with it. as well as the shift linkage they should include.

There isnt a us equivalent. I believe there is a Canadian equivalent that came in the 1.6EL. If I remember correctly we never got the SiR, but Canade did (just called the Si) so there are many parts for it available. just gotta look. There are many parts off of other B-series motors that work however.
this is a little off topic, but just to clarify, the 1.6EL came with a SOHC VTEC.

Ok, I want to double check, cause this motor swap is for a friend.

GOING INTO A 1992 Canadian Civic coupe:

JDM B16A2 (170 hp, DOHC VTEC) .. not the JDM B16A3
- 3G Integra axles
- 3G Integra linkage
- 3G Integra mounts (except tranny mount)
- stock Civic wiring harness

As I understand it, the stock or JDM axles will not work, the stock linkage on the CDN Civic will not work, the stock CDN Civic mounts will not swap over, and the stock wiring harness will work, with added wiring.
