Default hf crx radiator problems need fix

I have a stock hf crx that i got as a shell and put the stock motor in for a daily driver. the car is all stock under the hood. no performance goodies at all.

the problem I have is the drain plug will leak and drip until the radiator is dry.
I have put teflon tape on the drain plug threads and seemed to help but after I ran the car for a while it started again. I havent replaced the o ring becase it dosent look worn.
should i replace the drain plug or thnk of something else to do?
i came for help because its boggling my mind.

what do you guys think?

well radiators are cheap on http://www.radiators.com I would just buy a new one. But if you are intent on fixing it I would replace the drain plug and see if that fixs it. It is a cheap fix, but I think the $80 for a new one is a good deal!
