Default F20B swap

I was curious as to if I can fit an F20B from the accord sir into 00 civic coupe? If so would i have to use engine specific parts or could i use parts from say.....a Gs-R or Si?

i have actually been thinking about this swap as well. depending on year of coupe, could be fairly easy. all f20b's are obdII, so an ek would make for an easier wiring job. there are already motor mounts for the f/h series swap. for me, the f20b is sort of like an ls/vtec, b20vtec. Would make for a neat swap. go to http://www.jdmshit.com to see what is required to swap in a h series motor into an eg/ek. would be the same for the f20b.

Thx, i know that its like swapping an H series. It sounds like somethin very few if any have done. So do u think that H series parts would fit?

Yes, H series bolt on parts will work. H series valvetrain parts will fit. But the engine block internals are a bit different. Unless you plan to boost..don't worry about the internals. It already has 11:1 compression, and, with some breathing mods and cams...9K redline is easily attainable.

So i take it i would be ordering prelude bolt-ons? And as far as internals and valvetrain components go, do u suggest any sites?

Yes, for the most part, Prelude bolt-ons (intake, header) but exhaust would have to be either custom, or modified Civic. Internals...I guess it depends what you want to do. It already has a high flowing head (although it can be improved) and higher lift cams than the H22 (Don't quote me on this, but I think the f20b has the same cams from the Prelude Type-S). I would do a bit of research on this site to see what other people have done with their f20b's. From there, ask what sites they bought their parts, or what local stores.
