Default Buying a B16A1 What ECU to go with?

I am buying a first gen B16 from a friend, it does not come with an ECU and I will be swapping it in to my other car which is a 94 eg coupe si with vtec already wired up, my first question is, what ECU should I go with, I will be using the distributor from a OBD1 integra so everything will still be OBD1.

My second question is, does the vtec solanoid have the same connector from OBD1 to OBD2?

Any info is appreciated, thanks guys.

OBD1? Used a chipped P28 for DOHC VTEC application, or use a USDM or JDM P30 for a plug and play operation.

1st gen B16A Sir/Xsi has a cable transmission. You would either have to convert over or get a hydro tranny for it. You can use chipped P28 or P30 ecu.

If you get a good deal, then I'd recommend it. If you're buying a swap from an importer, you may as well save up to buy the SIR-II 2nd gen, OBD-1 swap because it'll save you the hassle of having to use a cable-to-hydro tranny conversion kit, different distributor, drivers side post, rear tranny bracket, and tranny mount. Oh yeah, don't forget the 1st gen linkage doesn't work, and the stock throttle cable won't work. And the VSS will have to be swapped, but thats not too big of a deal. You'll also have to chip a p28, or purchase a p30 to make it all work.

Cliffs notes- IF 1st gen B16 is good deal, then get it, but if not you'll spend the same amount in parts if you would have just bought 2nd gen in the 1st place.
