ECU Upgrade
I have a 98 ek coupe, which is OBD2. What would be the best way to upgrade my ecu. I have heard up converting to OBD1, but will that damage my car any?

Re: ECU Upgrade (DesertCivic)
I have never heard that changing to OBD-1 will "upgrade" your car any. The only way to upgrade the ecu is to get a generic chip or get it chipped by an aftermarket company (e.g. skunk2, etc.).

Re: ECU Upgrade (nighttrain33)
I have heard of converting to an OBD1 in order to use a skunk2 ec, already chipped. They are normally used for 92-95 civic ex, si, but to use it on a OBD2, it must first be converted to an OBD1.

What would it damage? There are TONS of people running OBD1 on OBD2 Tegs & Civics.
