Default Killing caps and rotors 90 STD

90 civic hatch STD bogging engine = new plugs = fixed it for an hour. the ECU spits out 8 and 16 I've replaced the rotor but the distributer pins keep breaking at around 3000rpm

you definetly have broken wires somewhere

8=crank angle sensor in distributor
16= injector circuit problem...

You are actually breaking the contacts off in the distributor?? Your cam is moving, need new bearings or a new head.

try an OEM cap/rotor. The center pin is spring loaded. I really can't see how it would just break.

As for the code 16... the ECU sets that whenever there is a break in the electrical path for the injectors. The main relay is a prime suspect in this case. One half powers the fuel pump, the other half the injector circuit.

the bearings in the distributor are shot causing the shaft to wobble which is why it has code 8 and rotor keeps hitting the cap
