old Z cars dominate.

 

Love those early Z cars. And this one is sweet! Looks like it would make a fun track day car :thumbup

 

I had a student last year in a 240Z with an LS1 and 6-speed swap. 327hp and 375ft-lbs to the wheels. Stock brakes with solid front rotors and rear drums. Ols BSP autox suspension setup. 195/14 Azenis tires. All at Watkins Glen. He said the engine was lighter than the orignal but the trans was heavier so overall weight went up 50lbs. Balance was still very good. Power amazing. Brakes, barely noticable. By the end of the day he was planning on a brake upgrade and bigger wheels/tires. I was impressed with how well the car handled such a big power increase.

 

I've always liked those cars. I had a 280ZX for about a month. I'd like another one but we'll see what happens.

 

I almost bought a '74 260Z once. Too bad it turned out to be a rusty piece of ****

 

This one belongs to a good friend of mine. Makes some of the sweetest music you will hear at the track. It is pretty damn quick too. 2:10.xxx on VIR Full.

I made the mistake of buying it before I realized it was a rusty piece of ****.

Alan's car is one of the sweetest sounding cars I've every heard. Pure inline 6 music!
