CTR:
- 4.4 FD

96 Spec ITR:
- 4.4 FD

98 Spec ITR:
- 4.7 FD
- GSR 4th & 5th gears

CTR and 96 spec are the same. I'd get either of those since I think the 4.7 FD will make it rev a little bit faster.

ctr/itr have a 4.40 final drive... for boost you may want to go with a Ls tranny. that has like a 4.26 or 4.36 something like that....(i thank??)
ctr/itr=short
Ls=long

just because this come with a stock lsd does not mean you turbo it, get a gsr or ls tranny and buy a lsd... same price in the end but better gear and aftermarket lsd...

Shorter gearing is always better for acceleration. Yes, with the CTR/ITR he'll be ripping through gears which kind of sucks. I'd go for a GSR with LSD so its inbetween

i'm with this guy.... since you're making a lot more torque.. you don't really need a short tranny (i.e. CTR/ITR/USDM Si) to keep your engine in VTEC to make the car go. you want a longer tranny (i.e. LS) to say in boost longer i'd assume. So, i'd say.. if you're boosting like.. 5 to 7 psi... then go with GSR... if more boost, like 12+, you might wanna look into getting a LS.

I did a turbo ls swap in 92 hatch and with the LS tranny its perfect. I couldnt imagine that car with a shorter tranny. Stick with the LS but make sure if your going to put an LSD that is the right type your lookin for.

That is the dumbest shiz I've heard lately. Not always good to assume. Shorter gearing = faster acceleration.. bottom line. If you wanna go fast, get the 98 spec ITR tranny. Who cares if you "rip" through gears faster, you will be accelerating faster and get beter ET's...
