i bought a tranny a week ago before the vin it says s20. Is this a JDM s20 trans or one from a 92-95 ex/si? is there anyway i can tell? lmk

 

All trannys 92-95 year are S20. You have to look by the axle hole and youll see an A000 or B000.

A000 = DX/CX/VX(?)
B000 = EX/SI

the tranny should be red, it should have a transmission cooler... alright its not even worth it to BS

if it were jdm, if it even ******* mattered, you wouldnt know unless you had a way to trace the bar code. jdm doesnt matter when your talking about d-series trannies. its nothing to brag about either.

check this out; trycracking it open and counting the gears, then check and see if its got LSD... if it doesnt, then oh well. just a normal tranny.

i hope you didnt spend anything over $200 dollars for this.. hahahahahahahaaaaa
