I measured the distance from firewall to automatic transmission bracket on the frame rail of eg sedan and it turns out that the auto, from the factory comes with that particular bracket at 15 3/4", and i measured two manual transmission frames at the junkyard and they measured 16 1/2". I'm just second guessing myself right now and all i have to do to finish this swap is to wire up the vtec, knock, and O2 sensors.

Has anyone dealt with this or did i reweld that mount for nothing?

 

If you get the mount kit you shouldnt have any problems.

 

my friend did buy a mount kit, it was a 99-00 B16A mount kit i believe, it wasnt the right one, i had to fab the passenger side mount to align the motor correctly. i just hope i didnt put the motor 3/4" farther foward than its supposed to be, but it was such a pain my **** when i was trying to make the engine mounts line up...
