Default No fun

This question may not make much sense but I hope someone get's it. I did a JDM B16 swap into my 00 civic hatch. I always felt that B series motors and trannys were always very smooth and I loved them. My car just does not feel smooth at all. All the motor mountss are replaced. No Hasports or anything, just OE replacements. Also put in a stage 1 Exedy clutch. I HATE IT

First off, when I hit the gas and let off the gas it jerks a bit. Most of the time when I am just driving normal and take off in first gear, the car shakes a bit, not bad but I am a neat freak and can notice it almost all the time. Could this be the motor mounts? Should I try some motor mount bushing or whatever they are and what kind? Will that stiffin things up and make things feel better?

I am about to be boosted here in a few weeks, so i plan on getting a new clutch, because simply the Exedy sux *** and I hate it. I feel like I can never get a nice smooth engage. I love the feel of my RPS Turbo Max clutch on my d16y8. So next I want something like that, it felt great.

Also I got my motor and tranny from HMOTORSONLINE so I am pretty sure everything was top notch when it comes to JDM swaps. But my linkage does not feel smooth at all. It feels all stiff (stock shifter and everything, it's not a "short shifter, good stiff feel) and crappy when I am shifting gears. Even whenmy buddy drove my car, he was like I hate this thing, it's not fun to drive at all.

What could be my problems. I hope they make sense.

My swap because everyone loves Pics

shifter bushings can be the cause of shitty or negative shifter feel, and did you tighten everything to spec? i know when i swapped my tranny for an ex/si, my shifter felt like ****, went under tightened a few things and boom, back to stock

Hmm I'll go through and tighten everything and see if that helps.

As far as the shaking on accelleration is concerned, that is usually due to bad axles. Are you using the ones hmotorsonline sent? I would go pick up some new ones.

Ah I was wondering if that could be part of the problem. I am using the ones HMO sent, and I sware I heard them pop a time or two. Would autozone lifetime warranty axels be alright?
