Not a Honda, but a race car none the less....soon
I know most of you don't know me here. I am mostly a lurker, but I have been building a Rabbit to run SPU for about a 6 months now. I have had help from many H-T members (thanks rambler, johng, fastfour, Kyle, Crescent, and Greg Marshall) Long story behind the car.

what kinda motor are you planning for that overmatched varmit?</TD></TR></TABLE>
The NW has a sactioning body called International Conference of SportsCar Clubs (ICSCC or Conference). The SPU rules in Conference mirror SCCA with a few very notable exceptions. The big one in Brad's case is that the displacement limits are different, SPU is below 2.0 liter as opposed to below 2.4 in SCCA.
I will let Brad elaborate on the motor but I am guessing he will be at 170+ whp in a car in the 1950 lb (with driver) range. With his driving he should do ok
His disadvantage will be in the aero department, that bunny is a brick!

I think we are going to call the car "The Orangegasm"

I have built a 13:5:1 1.8liter 8 valve. Lots of head work with very large cam. The car will run off Megasquirt. As Nash says, the car should be in the 160-170 HP range and I am guessing the car will be about 1800 lbs. When I raced the car in solo 1 it weighed 1740.
It is a brick that is for sure, but I hope to be able to use my weight advantage in braking, and in the turns. I know the car is probably not going to be a front runner, but it should be fun. I didn't like the idea of running IT because there is really only one other local guy running ITC and the car is not legal for any other IT class.

I've been waiting for a post like this Brad.
Up close, the car is immaculate, and everything about this ground-up rebuild was done well. Nice work. Lemme know when you're gonna fire it up for the first time, I'll bring the champagne.
PS, the driver in the autocross pic on the other forum looks familiar... could it be...?

I think your logic is correct. Many times I forgot that my car weighed almost 1000lbs more as I chased you into braking zones. I don't think I made it through those corners.

Ahh, I remeber seeing you go off in clouds of dust. Kinda scary seeing it all happen in your rearview, luckily the car was never hurt
