Default Carbon Fiber + Road Hazards?!?

I recently got a carbon fiber front lip for my EM1, and it looks good to me. I've only had it installed for a few days, and I noticed some small rock dents/chips. I was wondering how does one protect your carbon fiber wether it be a carbon lip, or a carbon hood from road debri such as small rock chips caused by whatever... Does anyone have a problem with small rocks and carbon fiber clear coat?!? how can I protect my CF?

Its basically the same concept of having your OEM lip and hood on....just gotta drive careful if you must drive on a rocky road

well the thing is, it's not the fact that i'm driving on a rocky road. I'm talking about driving on a highway and what not.

Had mine cleared. Rock chips are unavoidable but with several layers of clear, I can just wet sand and buff my CF pieces.

the only way to protect it is to put tape over it, or put laquer over it. thats a cf lip for ya. i would never get a cf lip, somebody probly rip it off

i suggest that if ur Drivin your car daily then u get a "BRA" that would covere a pretty good portion of your front end. it may not look like the hottest thing in the world but it does its job. Im ganna get one from honda that has an oppening for my 99-00 fogs. as for the lip, if it doestn fit in the bra" then its coming off untill i take my car to a show or a car meet! my 0.2
