im in search for another car and would like your unbiased opinions. i was thinking either between a 98-01 integra gsr or a subaru 2.5 rs 98-01. dont know much about the subaru except that it has a weak rear differential. all in all i just want an awesome handling car with reliability. plans for both cars koni/gc coilover, bigger rear sway bar, and bolt ons. all opinions are welcomed.
Subies seem to benefit from increases in both front and rear bars simultaneously. Apparently, driving an AWD car quickly is somewhat different from driving a FWD car quickly. Go figure!
When I was in the same situation, I went with the GSR (a 96, as opposed to your 98+), vs the 98-99 Suby 2.5rs (I don't like the looks of the 00+). The GSR could be had much cheaper, and in my opinion had more potential than the 2.5rs (short of a swap).

subu's sweet just don't turbo it or you'll have to run a crash box at least for first and second to hold the power (Sport compact car had to do this in there project 2.5rs). Other than that there super reliable. and handle bad ***.

Based on my experience (I've owned an 01 ITR and now own an 06 STi), I'd probably go with the Subaru. AWD is pretty fuggin cool, IMO, and having something other than an Integra is a good thing
Also, FWIW, there was a swapped 2.5RS for sale here locally about a month ago... if it's still for sale, it'll probably be at the autoX this weekend. I can check on it if you'd like.

i just wanted to stay away from honda/acura because of the high theft rate, and try something new AWD. coming from a turbo mr2 and 2 hondas
