Default Upgrading suspension in the near future.....questions

The 97' has about 92,000 miles on it and its 9 yrs old so its about time to give in and do some suspension work. I wanted something stiffer than stock that would be a great upgrade but livable for daily driving

Soo far I have been pretty lucky with deals on suspension parts

I have purchased

+Bilstein SP from JCWhitney - $307shipped for all 4 (They are getting rid of their stock and not selling the ITR ones anymore....anyone interested when I called yesterday they had 4 fronts and 5 rears left)

+GC Coilovers 350/400 spring rates. -$220 shipped from Ebay brand new

I do have a few questions though.

1.) Do I need a camber kit if I only plan on lowering the car 0.5"-3/4"

2.) Is there anything else that I should replace while working on the suspension? (Bushings ect.)

3.) I would also like to replace the motor mounts soon. Are Spoon and Mugen my best choice if I want to upgrade from stock.

Hopefully I can be a little more competitive in STX soon. Those damn WRX's are tough to keep up with I plan on attending most of the local Auto-x's this year soo that should surely help

Time to freshen up the suspension, eh? No, you don't need a camber kit if you're only dropping 3/4". Can you replace engine torque mounts in STX? If so, I'd replace them when you do the engine mounts.

you only need the motor mount insert . and lot's of people give very positive for the mugen front lower control arm bushing set, but they are kind of expensive, i asked kingsmotor and they cost 200.

Unless your mounts are cracked Larkin I would go with the ES inserts. They're a great cheap upgrade and very every dayable.

Good call. I guess I'd have to look into the rules on that.

Sorry we didn't contact you guys when we were in K.C. this past weekend. My wife ended up having a Friday off and I took the day off. We figured you were probably working around the time we got down there (1:00) Do you know how far I can drop without need for a camber kit?? I probably won't go any further than 3/4" as I'm running a spoon Sports header and I don't want to screw it up

The mugen lowdowns drop 3/4" and they don't need a camber kit. I wouldn't drop any farther without a kit.

If your rules allow, I'm no longer using my ES tq mount inserts. They're on my huge FS list that I emailed you.

You might want to buy some springs too.
