Default coilovers.

I decided on the 16" konig holes for my 94 teg. I'm looking to have my car lowered. What's your experience with how far i should lower the car? I don't want to be scraping the road every time i make a turn, but i would like the lowering to be noticeable. Also... I've done research on the internet, but would also like to get your expert opinions on which springs you prefer in the $200 price range. Thanks.

well i just put my tein coilovers on recently, and dropped it about 2.5- 3 inches, before my teg was a monster truck, but now the stance is so sexy but when you drop it more than about 2-2.5 inches you are reaching dangerous levels, because for one your camber is going to be negative as **** untill you get a camber kit or get it realligned, and if you have cat-back exhaust or any lower tigh bars "like me" you will eventually scrape it, and if you go to low, you have a chance of cracking teh oil pan which is not good, but tein, h&r, brands like that are pretty decent, i wouldnt go with skunk 2, my friend has them on his ej1 and i dont like the ride to much.

the teg looks nice BTW!.. so 1.75" Front and 1.5" Rear is a good height..

so if you lower your car more than 2" your more likely to crack your oil pan?

no im saying going further than 2.5 inches can be dangerous, if you hit a big dip, or there is some extra weight in the car, there is a chance of cracking the oil pan

i will try to get a pic of an under shot of my car, and show you how close my tigh bar was to the ground when i had it dropped past 2.5 inches, keep in mind i only dropped it that far for some pics. but the pics you see here are around 2-2.5 inch drop, plus i have nice roads around my area

ic ...here in the bay area, the roads are full of pot holes..(the city needs to start re-paving(sp?) the road or at least fill up the pot holes..

so lowering 1.75" Front and 1.5" Rear is a okay height, i'm planning on that height. i have a set of springs but i don't know how low it drops the car. how do i find out besides putting them on and see?

my buddy used to have a 94 ls, and he lowered it 1.75 in teh front, and 1.5 in the rear with some tein springs, and he had little tired rub, and ground clearance was fine, just be careful with it, and that stance should look hot and perform really well
