I'm not sure about the 5th but ALL 4th gen Preludes (S, Si, Si-VTEC, 4WS) are pre-wired for fog lights. It's basically just plug-n-play. The harness connectors are located behind the front bumper and branch out from the same harness as the front bumper turn signals.

If you are talking about the wiring harness for the relay, you DON'T need the wiring "extension" harness. The purpose of the "extension" harness is to extend the relay connector so that it can reach its OEM mounting point. The relay plugs in directly into the relay connector WITHOUT the "extension" harness.

I wasn't sure what wiring harness you were talking about so i just mentioned both.

So basically its just plug and play, the only thing that changes is the JDM ans USDM switch?

Yes, everything is plug-n-play. I have the tweeter mounted fog light switch so i don't have to worry if it's JDM or USDM (I know its USDM since its mounted on the driver side tweeter cover). I remember reading a thread about how the JDM switch differs from the USDM switch so I believe you're right. Other than that, everything else is plug-n-play.

on the 5th gens you need the harness that connects the two foglights together, and that plug into the back of the bulbs. The rest of the car is prewired. You will also need the relay and switch.

The harness's are the same, The car's pre-wired so if you do it right, find where the sub harness connects under the dash. it will be two brown connectors the one closest to the drivers side has the connection for the fog lights you have to jumper two of the ports and they will turn on. once you have figured which ports connect, wire in your own switch. there must be a fuse inplace for it to work, so don't forget to check in the drivers side kick panel.

P.S. the reason I suggest this route is it is nearly impossible to find the sub harness/ relay and switch, which is mounted in the center console not on the tweeter. tweeter mount is JDM only. Plus honda doesn't carry any accessory parts after the car has ran production on it's model line
